2018 Post Leaders Workshop, Aug. 19-21

The 2018 Post Leaders Workshop will head to Bonita Springs, Fla., Aug. 19-21. Providing training, information-sharing, and networking for SAME’s volunteer leaders, PLW is the one event each year that brings together members from every Post around the world. PLW is a fun and relaxed event, with a mix of small group sessions, featured speakers, leadership meetings, and social activities.

This year’s agenda includes an Ice Breaker Reception on Sunday evening, preceded by an Executive Committee meeting that afternoon. Then the formal workshop sessions get underway on Monday, and carrying through until Tuesday afternoon. There also is a Networking Reception Monday night. Attendees will hear from SAME’s national leadership team, from other volunteers across the Society, and get first-hand instruction from Mark Levin, CAE, CSP, an expert in leadership and membership development.

Featured Speaker: Mark Levin, B.A.I. Inc.

Widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost experts in leadership and membership development, Mark Levin will provide SAME members with tips, insights and expertise in being a volunteer leader, based on his years of experience in not-for-profit organizations include staff positions as a membership director, local chapter director, and chief staff officer. An active volunteer in several local, state, national, and international societies. Levin served for over 20 years on the faculty of the Institutes for Organization Management, a continuing education program sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Tens of thousands of volunteer and staff leaders have attended his programs, and they all can attest to his ability to present his topics in a unique, humorous, and interactive style.
